There have been 20 cases and 6 deaths in the little town, which it 30 per cent of mortality. The disease prevails in other parts of the State. - A pretty girl of 19 years f age has been arraigned in a Jersey city Court for obtaining goods under false pretenses, having received of a young man two finger rings under a prom ise to marry him. Such things ought never to come up from the "court" below. "Unfinancial" is a new term, which .the Danville Register appears to have "coined" to describe the un fortunate condition of parties who go to jail because unable to pay the fines Imposed in criminal proceedings.
